The conception of this show stems from the personal fact that made me question the relationship with masculinity in the 21st century, both on the part of men and women. In the search for answers, I have been understanding in a deeper way every day, in what type of society we live and what we can do to improve it, since some simpler or everyday attitudes are perhaps those that need a change. I wanted to stage this personal growth with the thought that art opens the soul to a place of understanding, and with the hope of moving or opening the eyes of the viewer who is more reluctant to the theme that the show suggests.

The New York Times, described him as: "A FENOMENO OF THE FLAMENCO WORLD". Jesús Carmona was born in Barcelona in 1985. He began his dance training at the age of 7. Graduated in Spanish Dance and Flamenco from the Barcelona Theater and Dance Institute in 2003. He expanded his artistic training with such masters as Antonio Canales, Manolete, Güito, Mª Magdalena and Eva Yerbabuena, among other leading dance figures Spanish and Flamenco. In 2006 he joined the National Ballet of Spain, reaching the category of First Dancer and participated as a guest artist in later years. His restlessness and his desire to show his most personal side and make his way into the arts in a broader way, led him to leave the National Ballet of Spain and embarks on a new adventure creating his own company. Among the works with his company we find the shows "Cuna Negra y Blanca" (2012), “7 Balcones” (2013), “Impetu’s” (2015), "Equilibrio" (2017), "Amatør" (2018) "The Game" (2019), "El Salto" (2020).
“Jesús Carmona is spectacular in his creative and dancing maturity. His dance is brilliant, flamenco and contemporary at the same time, and his creativity has been unleashed like a pot of essences towards another, much riskier but also higher stage in today's flamenco universe.”
“Jesús Carmona, a master of rhythm and immobility - and a representative of the new wave of Spanish dance.”
“El Salto is an innovative and unusual flamenco show by creator Jesús Carmona.”
“Catalan dancer Jesús Carmona presents "El Salto" at the Jerez Festival, an electrifying reflection on masculinity, the dissolution of gender in dance and our current lifestyles.”
