EXIT

Cirque Inextremiste's fantastic display and its 3400 m³ aerostat immerse the audience, body and soul, in an unusual scenographic universe.

In EXIT, a group of gentle lunatics find themselves unwillingly trapped in a life-size adventure. Their mission: to free themselves from their straitjackets and escape at all costs from a world governed by strict, implacable rules.

The playing area, transformed by the balloon's flight, is an open-air theater where the artists' aerial stunts cohabit with the stars. A crescendo towards freedom, Exit offers an emancipation of the spirit, a powerful, luminous and unifying artistic breath, a demonstration of the porosity of the frontier between art and madness.

Welcome to the new EXIT adventure!

With gas cylinders as their emblem and main prop, Cirque Inextremiste has been traveling from theaters to festivals all over Europe since 2007. Led by Yann Ecauvre, real risks and scathing humor are the watchwords of this company, which is constantly pushing back the frontiers of the extreme. Cirque Inextremiste now has 8 shows and some 50 members.

In 2007, Yann Ecauvre, an atypical self-taught performer, staged his 1st show, entitled "Inextremiste", using a trampoline and gas cylinders. In 2009, the company changed its name to Cirque Inextremiste.

The "Extrêmités" trio was created in 2012, using planks and... gas cylinders! In the same delirious dynamic around a mini construction shovel, the second part named "Extension" saw the light of day in 2014.

Between 2015 and 2017, the Cirque Inextremiste team expanded to create two new shows: a spectacular ball, "Extreme Night Fever", and a large-scale street show based around... a hot-air balloon, "Exit".

In 2018, Yann is proposing a new balancing act entitled "Damoclès". This participative form questions the trust we place in each other in the face of difficulty.

Ouest France

“Yann Ecauvre wanted this show to be a blend of "impressive visuals and real drama". The characters embody "the search for escape and human discomfort in the face of prevailing security oppression". These are themes that the group has been tackling since 2007, with their seminal show "Inextremiste".”

Time Out

“Far from the complexity of the film, the characters in "Exit" are anonymous fugitives. Their outlines are sketched out through acrobatics and clowning, as if immersed in the shadow of their hot-air balloon.”

France 3

“Because there's a message behind this show: the beauty of risk, and also denouncing the accumulation of security laws protecting human development.”

Télérama

“There's something painterly about this way of framing space, by shrinking the characters and distancing the spectators. Ecauvre, known for his balancing act, ended up stepping on the gas, taking the match to the burner.”
